This site is enthusiastically created by Cathy McGowan Russell, who was has been studying evolutionary biology since 1978. She earned her Ph.D. in microbiology with a dissertation based on her research on the evolution of bacteria. Now, Cathy is delighted to share with you what she has learned about the science of evolution and how you can use this information to enrich your life.
Cathy Russell hosts this site as well as EpicOfEvolution.com; CelebrateEvolution.com and ArtOfGrace.org. I also create teaching materials and curricula to help people understand evolution in a life affirming way. I enjoy teaching about the Epic of Evolution and created the curriculum, “Exploring Evolution.” I also enjoy talking to congregations about the science of evolution, especially as part of Evolution Weekend.
My current research interest is to examine the evolution of “Grace.” For me, grace is awakening to the blessings of existence, feeling the gift of Oneness and unconditional love, and harmonizing with the whole. I am fascinated with how individuals’ experiences of grace have helped humanity evolve.
